To make sure your Mixtiles and Photo Books turn out crisp, clear, and beautifully detailed, it’s important to start with high-quality images. Below, you’ll find the recommended resolution guidelines for each product type — along with what happens if a photo doesn’t quite meet our clarity standards.
👉 Using the original photo file is always best — screenshots or images saved from messaging apps tend to be lower quality and may not print as clearly.
For Mixtiles
Here’s a handy guide to the minimum recommended resolution for each Mixtiles size:

💡 Our system can handle images up to a maximum of 7000 x 7000 pixels.
📚 For Photo Books
To get the best, clearest prints for your Photo Book, use images that are:
At least 600 x 600 pixels, and
No larger than 7000 x 7000 pixels.
If any photo you upload doesn’t meet our clarity standards, you’ll see a small “!” icon in the top-left corner of any photo that’s below the recommended resolution.
You’ll also see a reminder at the bottom of the Checkout page suggesting that you replace any low-resolution photos before completing your order.
If you’re using the app, you’ll see a pop-up warning letting you know when a photo might not print clearly.
That way, you’ll have every opportunity to swap them out for higher-quality images and make sure your Mixtiles (or Photo Book!) look picture-perfect. 💛
