Are Mixtiles Recyclable?

Learn how to recycle your Mixtiles.

Updated over a week ago

We’re glad you asked! 🌍 At Mixtiles, sustainability is important to us, and we’re always looking for ways to improve. While we don’t have a dedicated recycling program just yet, we do want to help you recycle your Mixtiles responsibly. Here’s the scoop on recycling our tiles:

What’s Recyclable?

Good news! Our frameless and plastic-framed tiles are recyclable. Here’s a quick breakdown:

  • Frameless Tiles: These can be recycled in many places, though recycling facilities vary by region.

  • Plastic-Framed Tiles: The plastic frames are recyclable with a #7 label.

  • Foam Core: The foam core of frameless tiles is recyclable with a #6 label.

  • Photo Books: These are recyclable too!

  • MDF Frames & Canvas: We recommend disposing of them according to your local waste guidelines as they are not recyclable.

How to Recycle Your Mixtiles

Check Local Guidelines: Recycling facilities vary in what they accept. If you're unsure, check with your local recycling center to see if they accept #6 and #7 plastics.

Place Them in Your Recycling Bin: Place your Mixtiles into your recycling bin. Your local facility will handle the sorting and recycling process.

Looking Ahead
We’re excited about the future and hope to offer a dedicated recycling program soon. In the meantime, we appreciate your efforts in helping us make a positive impact on the environment!
